Official Rules
These are the official rules and Regulations for RJ Hunt Contest. Desi Junction Radio (DJ) is hosting a competition in which the winner of the contest will be chosen to join the DJ team as a one of the co-hosts.
Eligibility Criteria :

The candidate must be at least 16 Years old as of March 1st 2007.

The candidate should be willing to serve Desi Junction as a volunteer.

Knowledge of one Indian Language is a plus.

No prior experience or training is necessary.

DJ reserves the right to exclude entrants for these or any other reason, in DJ’s sole editorial discretion.

If at any point during the Contest DJ deems an entrant, semifinalist or finalist ineligible, DJ may disqualify that individual and, in the case of a semifinalist or finalist, at its sole discretion, select an alternate.

DJ in its sole discretion will select a preliminary group of individuals from eligible entries submitted. Following steps are the requirements for the three rounds of the contest.

Step 2: Audition Round

Live auditions will be held at various locations in Chicago's suburbs.

Candidates will be notified via e-mail about the location, date and time of the audition round.

During the audition round, each participant will be given a set of predefined assignments related to Radio announcement/ reporting.

These assignments will be geared to test the personality, Voice Quality, Presentation style, Knowledge & Charisma/appeal of each contestant.

Contestants will be rated on these qualities.

At least 4 contestants from each location will move to Next round.

General
- DJ shall not be responsible for any loss or damage if it has to discontinue or cancel this contest in compliance with any law, ruling, order, regulation, and requirement or for any other unavoidable reason beyond its control. The participants shall be informed of such discontinuance/cancellation as soon as possible.

Entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and by the decisions of the voting listeners and judges, whose decisions are final. Failure to comply with these rules may result in disqualification from RJ for DJ.

DJ reserves the right to permanently disqualify any person it believes has intentionally violated these rules, including but not limited to making any effort to directly or indirectly undermine the integrity of the voting.

The requirements detailed in these Official Rules cannot be waived or changed except by DJ, and entrants who cannot perform these requirements or make the necessary time commitment should not submit an entry form. |
