62 years ago, foreign rulers raised a wall of distrust, suspicion, and hatred by carving out 2 political entities from one culturally united Country! Now is the time for us to stand united and help bring this wall down! To this end let us begin this journey by walking side by side with each other, shedding the decades old hatred and get united as good neighbors to save the sub-continent and ultimately for the betterment of our universe. This is the need of the hour that we look into each others eyes and realize that mutual brotherhood is the only resolution. Our ages old ancestral roots are the same and branches of this vast tree are so intertwined that no matter what the selfish elements conspire, brothers cannot be separated from brothers. An artificial line of control shall not divide our hearts.

It is in the regard that we have an authentic proposal to take this pious thought to the next level and plant the seeds of genuine friendship between two countries. There can not be a more auspicious day to take this giant leap than the 62nd Independence days of our countries. Lets us get-together under the banner of "Indo-Pak People’s Friendship Forum” and take part in the parade on Devon this Saturday, August 15th 2009. This is a call for an everlasting friendship between the people of two countries who were never apart at the grassroots level of the common man. Let us start marching together hand in hand, step in step towards this virtuous ‘manzil’

We would like to invite everyone of Indian and Pakistani descent living or visiting the Chicago-land area over this weekend to join us in promoting lasting peace and friendship between the two countries. To further this auspicious cause and give it a chance to flourish we request everyone to join us and help nourish this little seedling of friendship to grow into a strong, solid and expansive tree that will embrace everyone and support the two nations and their citizens to work together and seek various opportunities to reach the goal to lasting peace and mutual cooperation. |
