Jassi Parmar is the founder of Desi Junction, he is the brain behind the success and popularity of Desi Junction Radio, which is Midwest USA's largest and fastest growing South Asian Radio show.
Jassi has created his own unique style with a combination of humor, talk and entertainment every Sunday afternoons. Computer Engineer by profession Jassi's vision is to inspire listeners to believe in themselves and achive high in life. With his imagination and keen sense of public’s taste he has continuously introduced the innovative ways keep the listeners involved and become part of the presentations. With his talents and diplomatic skills Parmar has explored many hidden talents out of the team members, has introduced them to their qualities even they were not aware of.
Jassi’s easy going style and personality have helped him earn thousands of fans; these are people who can relate to his personable style and work ethic. He has been regarded as one of the sincere person in show business and the hardest-working Individual.
Parmar, who stepped into the world of entertainment with a stage show at the age of 7 in school, landed on the air with a short comedy play for All India Radio at the age of 14. Very soon Jassi gained acclaim and recognition with his funny style and easy going personality. In addition to interviewing many Bollywood celebrities on the radio, Jassi has hosted numerous stage shows featuring well known singers and artists. Jassi also directed and conceptualized a TV show “Nishna Chook Na Jaaye”, his other credits include hosting of many stage shows like Manmohan Waris & Kamal Heer Show, Babbu Mann Nite, Hans Raj Hans Nite ,Yeh Sham Mastani , DJ Summer Festival , New Year’s Dhamaka night , Zee Dance Championship and Antakshri competitions in Chicago.
Jassi’s eager and restless spirit has always kept on taking him to the next horizon; he has always challenged himself to explore new territories. In last four years, the Radio programs have touched the standards of high quality. |

Dara Singh is founding member of Desi Junciton Radio. It was back in 2001 when Dara and his friends got together and brought up this idea of Desi Junction Radio.
Dara Singh presents Punjabi Show on Desi Junctio Radio. His unique radio voice and his knowledge about Punjabi Cultural and Language help him to connect with his audience. Dara started performing at stages in his schooling years. He has performed many acts such as Bhangra and Skits in almost all the community events thru out Chicago land area . Dara’s presence in Punjabi community as been recognized by various organization. He has interviewed many Punjabi celebrities on his radio shows. Dara Love riding his Royal Enfield Motorcycle on Chicago Streets, It reminds him about his day’s back home in Punjab. Dara’s Postive attitude and charming personality has taken him and Desi Junction to new horizon

Charandeep has been living in America since September, 1980. By profession, he is a Research Chemist. Working for the company of world prominence, he takes pride in his significant contribution in developing the new products.
He enjoys playing tennis, bowling, cricket and golf outing with his friends. His everlasting passion is good poetry, vintage Hindi movies, music and reading about its history.
He is associated with Desi Junction since the first broadcast in September, 2001; first as loyal listener, time to time contributing with valuable suggestions and the joined as volunteer since May, 2003. He perceives Desi Junction Radio as the best outlet to share and admire the contribution of Hindi movies to world cinema. As a host in the show, he brings the flavor of that era of music known as ‘golden age of Hindi cinema’ and its gone by glorious history.
He also co-hosts Punjabi Junction with Dara Singh, Bhiya ji, Happy Heer. With this creative team, he contributes to improvise the most creative, funny and interesting one hour show.
He also get satisfaction in his involvement to the community events organized by Desi Junction team. Charandeep believes that Desi Junction has extracted the best out of him and he is proud of this association. |

Sanjay Mehrotra born in Kanpur,
Educated in Kanpur,Delhi,Mathura and Hyderabad. Worked in Delhi,Mumbai,Agra,Hyderabad,Singapore,UK and USA as an IT Professional.
Right since school was active on Stage and Radio, participating and hosting several stage plays and shows including in YuvaVani at All India Radio. Created and narrated several Short Stories in Hindi. Also worked as a Casual Hindi and English Announcer in External Services Division and General Overseas Service of AIR. Also worked with several TV Serials as Editor and Production Assistant. Serials include, "Indradhanush, Dekh Bhai Dekh and Isi Bahane". Joined Desi Junction after winning the "RJ Hunt 2007" contest and have ever since been dedicated Team Player. |

Nisha Gupta |

Nisha is one of the most noted voices on Desi Junction Radio since 2003. She brings extensive experience in the field of Radio Broadcasting, hosting radio shows on All India Radio in MP since April, 1993. After landing in US, she was on Radio in New York also.
In true sense she has proven to be the master of destiny. After getting Masters in Zoology, she steered her life towards computers and received a diploma. Professionally she has thrived as a good teacher, efficient recruiter and presently a successful Software Developer.
Nisha is very passionate about her involvement in the community services. Over the years in all the events organized by Desi Junction Radio, she has always contributed wholeheartedly and has given her best. She has a soft corner in heart for the children and she always plans and runs the kids contests all Desi Junction functions.
Nisha admits that ‘being on Radio’ is her soul food and she can not live without. |

Shalini Saxena |

Shalini Saxena's melodious voice has been hosting Desi Junction Radio since 2001. In addition to hosting the show she is incharge of Managing Desi Junction's Listerners relations Department.
Her passion for music and dance began at a young age. In her early school days, she performed several stage shows.She did her masters in classical Kathak dance. Additionally,she holds a Masters Degree in Psychology and a Management degree in Human Resource Development.
Shalini debuted in the Lucknow Media world in 1992 by Anchoring the "Phulwari "( Kids show),"Prashnavyuh","Kyon aur kaise". As an anchor she interviewed diplomats too. In 1998 she was selected as a News Reader. At that time she was also a script writter for E TV ( Educational TV.) She formed an NGO in India named " Vipasna" which help people to establish their small scale business.
In 2000 she migrated to US.and began performing singing stage shows. She sang with well known Bollywood singer " Usha Utthap & Pankaj Uddhas". Shalini has also hosted numerous cultural shows in the Indian community.
Now her love and passion is to bring happines in other peoples life, through entertainment, with Desi Junction Radio. |

Atul Agnihotri is a leader in Global technology procurement and M&A in a fortune 200 company. Atul has extensive global leadership experience in various technology fields, business transformation, business negotiations and interacting with executive management in other industry leading companies. Atul has a Masters degree from University of Toledo, and is a an active contributor into the community. Growing up Atul was a national level track and field Athlete and an amateur cartoonist. While in college Atul was part of a number of college athletic teams, editor of the college magazine, and led wilderness expeditions. Atul's sports spirit is now channeled as a soccer coach of a youth travel soccer team.
Harinderpal Singh is a Director of International Strategy with a Fortune 50 firm in US. Previously, Mr. Singh was Vice President Marketing with a marketing consulting boutique in India. He also holds an MBA from the Duke University Business School.
Happy Singh is a succesfull business man who is well respected and well known throughout chicago land. He is the co founder of Desi Junction and has been involved with various Punjabi Organizations in the Midwest. Because of his Happy's happy go lucky nature Happy is able to win many hearts. Happy has served has Punjabi Show host for 5 years. |

Bhagya Nagesh is the founder and artistic director of Bollywood Rhythms. Bollywood Rhythms was born from her passion for dancing. She has been dancing / performing from the age of 5 yrs . Her main focus over the past couple years is to promote cultural awareness within the community, mainly the kids and the youth, by performing, teaching, choreographing and organizing cultural events.
Bhagya has worked as a customer service / client management and sales before starting her own studio. From her childhood, one of her foot has always been in the entertainment industry - its her desire to organize events that has driven her to be a part of DesiJunction as a Special Event Director. She has successfully helped DJ organize all the event for past 4 years and is looking forward to do the same in the future.
Bhagya has a degree in Journalism, psychology and English and would love to use the skills learnt to reach out to the community. Apart from dancing, she loves spending time with kids, watching movies , cooking and to top it all spending time her two fav boys... ( her husband and son) |

Aslam has been living in the windy city since Dec' 84. He has a degree in Plastic Conversion Technology. Connected with stage drama ADRAK KE PANJE for a year, and played the HIPPI role in the record breaking drama . In chicago connected with Desi Junction sine April 2003, and since has been helping desi junction. Aslam Bhai love old classics ( suraiyya, talat mehmood songs very much ), and loves playing and watching live cricket in chicago. Before desi junction he was associated with another desi programme in chicago. |

Having grown up in the US and India, and now being in the US for the last 18 years Ravi is one of those few individuals who can easily slide and switch between the nuances of his rich Indian heritage and apple pie American culture, without missing a beat.
Ravi’s exposure to mass media started when he was 12 years old and used to recite poems and tell jokes live on the Sunday Morning Kids show on Akashvani (AIR), Lucknow. In school he took part in elocution and debating contests, these activities helped him later when he hosted in-depth discussions on Yuv-vani (AIR-Lucknow) a radio program geared towards youth.
While in college at Lucknow University Ravi co-founded FOCUS, Federation Of College and University Students, to fill the void in the social and cultural space for college students in Lucknow.
Ravi considers it his good fortune that he has continued to have opportunities to stay actively involved, while working with various organizations, in planning, organizing, and hosting all kinds of sporting and cultural events in India and the US. Though not as visibly active in the fore-front as before, now Ravi can usually be found working behind the scenes utilizing his management skills, making sure all details are attended to so everything flows smoothly once the curtains are lifted for any program.
Ravi has a Bachelors degree in Liberal Arts from India. He holds a Certificate in Business Management from the Graduate School of Business, Loyola University of Chicago, and in 2009 became an Alumnus of the Kellogg School of Management’s executive education program.
In his free time Ravi is actively involved with various community outreach, empowerment, and advocacy groups. Ravi is also a charter member of the National Language Service Corps, is fluent in Hindi, and also speaks Urdu. He is married, with 2 children, loves to cook when possible, and enjoys tinkering with technology and gadgets. |

Has a good understanding on Indian light music with strong interests ranging from KL Saigal to Kishore Kumar to the current music. Performed on TV and Radio back in India.
